Whats the best thing to get gloss paint off door handles ( metal )?

There is a product called ';Goof Off'; that is wonderful for taking off paint, even old, hardened paint. Put some on a rag, rub it over the spot, and moments later the paint comes off!!!

people use thinner for this purpose...
A razor blade
E-Z Off Oven Cleaner. In the blue can,it's fume free, and gentle on your hands. It won't scratch, It's not a nasty smelling oil based product, just spray it on,wait about ten mins. and paint's gone.But don't let it over-spray on to your wall.

Gentle rub turps on it, if this does not work it will scrape off with a blunt knife
I use a stanley blade to scrape it off, if its thick enough.
A soft cloth and turps.
Cotton cloth and turps. Then wash with soapy water and dry
Remove handle, and use a heat gun, it saves tons of chemicals, but do it in a ventilated place.





This will allow the paint to loosen from the metal, then if it is solid metal and not plated, when cool - A metal brush attached to a cordless drill is great for removing paint from metal surfaces.
there is a product called oopps that you can buy and it is Wonderful. Try that because it works for just about anything. I've used it myself for several things
