Its white paint and tiny little spots all over.A painter splashed spots of gloss paint on my brown leather sofa.Any idea how to remove it %26amp; not harm sofa?Thx
Realistically there is little you can do. If the paint is water based the possibility exists that a mild solution of warm water and dish soap may loosen it enough to remove the paint. However since leather is always dyed, using something strong enough to remove the paint will certainly remove the dyes as well. Unfortunately this is a job for a professional if you what it removed completely and have the dyes restored.

Leather is absorbent, making it difficult to remove stains. A suggestion is to treat the stain with an Apple leather cleaner, then a rain and stain repellent called Garde. A possible home remedy, which the Handyman is reluctant to list, is to apply Goof-Off, designed to remove latex paint without hurting the underlying finish. Another is mineral oil, but use it sparingly, and in small spots. If you are at all doubtful, do not use either. And, always try a treatment in an obscure place to make sure it does not mess up the leather.A painter splashed spots of gloss paint on my brown leather sofa.Any idea how to remove it %26amp; not harm sofa?Thx
we had a similar problem with our black leather sofa. we took a black permanent marker and dabbed the spots carefully to hide them. not a perfect solution but much easier to look at than the white spots.
YOU COULD TRY MR CLEAN MAGIC ERASER IT WON,T HARM THE SOFA.
Thats a shame! Wait till its really really dry and peel it off with your fingers. Next time hire a real painter that uses drop cloths.
try to use thiner or sprit.they are available on paint and hardware stores. It wo'nt do any thing to your sofa. Some kind of paint remover wil be use full.
