Is 11 too young to start out with light lip gloss and clear mascara?

I teach makeup application, and would start with the clear lip gloss, some kind that would moisturize lips. Something with sunscreen made for lips is more important, whether it's lip gloss or not. I wouldn't recommend even clear mascara at this point. It won't do much for glamour, and it just means more pulling on the eye area when taking it off. The more the eyelids are pulled, the worse for them.





A light, moisturizing lip gloss and light nail polish, though, should be fine.Is 11 too young to start out with light lip gloss and clear mascara?

I tried make up when I was in grade 8.


But then again, Im 20, and nowadays, things are happening sooner with the younger generations.


Eff. Yes you are too young. You need to enjoy your childhood while you still have it. Being teenager and adult you have faaarrr worse things to worry about than trying make up, so hell. Go play in puddles and catch snowfalkes on your tongue and run around in circles till you puke.


Or, you could deal with yourself like the rest of society and not be ';unique';... get a cell phine, carry around a purse, wear make up, dress like the highschool kids do, shop at American Eagle, and Abercrombie and Fitch...... it's terrible. Girls are growing up way too fast, so please, for your own sake, enjoy your young age while you can.
No most girls at your age do the lip gloss and maybe even a bit of blush :) the clear mascara is okay too





What is not okay is when young ladies your age are showy with their make up :0)





My daughter is 16 and STILL wears light make up :0)





Oh yes, don't listen to me, it is your own parents that need to make that decision
There's no set age to start wearing make-up...so there's no 'yes' or 'no' answer to this. :-)





You just start wearing make-up when you feel ready!





Make sure to talk to your mum so you know how to cleanse properly and how to apply properly, and also to know the limits. :-)

To start out with, no. It's like young girl makeup as in Hannah Montana type of brands if she likes her. Just as a thought. My little cousin is five and she loves her clear lip gloss and clear ';little girl'; nailpolish. It's nice to help them learn to look presentable. As long as she looks decent, it's fine in my eyes.
I think girls should start wearing makeup in grade 7-8. I'm pretty sure you're still in elementary school when you're 11 and that's just wrong. You're still a child. Mascara is more of a young-adult sort of thing, lip gloss is fine, but Mascara is a little bit extreme for someone so young.
The real question is what do your parents think about this? In my opinion, light lip gloss and clear mascara would be pretty and look nice on a girl your age. However, your parents are the ones who have to make that decision at this point. Sounds like a good plan though.

mascara is suposse to make your eyelashes look longer and bolder...so skip the mascara and the lip gloss is prefectly normal for a 11 year old to use but don't lather it on so its like you have a moutain of it on

YES. stay natural!! stay natural!! the sooner you start, the more wrinkles you will have when you are older. I know its only lipgloss and mascara, but soon YOU WILL BE HYNOTISED by all make up products

No, I think its a good age to start with small light things like that. That way once you do get older and start with all the blushes and eyeshadows and stuff you'll already know how to put it on so you wont look like a clown. Congratulations and good luck!
I dont think you are too young to start wearing light lipgloss and mascara, just dont over do it. I work in the cosmetic industry and I have many young girls wanting to start experimenting with makeup. Just keep it very natural.
Are you 11? OMG why the hell do people where make-up at age 11. seriously, but ya, 11 is a ok age to start, but 12 is the best because that's the only time people actually judge you. Gus don't really care at age 11 and they hate make-up, i know I did.
lol im 11 n i wear lip gloss sometimes....on speical ocations....but sometimes other ppl will ask u r u wearing mascara n eyeliner....so its a little awkward...believe me i wore some eyeliner n they asked me n im like i will never wear eyeliner again at school....anyways my point is mascara maybe lip gloss nope!!...lol hoped i helped!! %26gt;_%26lt;
Lip gloss is fine. But don't do the clear mascara. It makes your eyelashes fall out. If your mom will let you, do a light thin line of eyeliner on the top lid. It would still have a little of the same effect.

babe i think thats great! i think its awesome that your worried that your too young. just start out small. next year you can start with the black mascara and try experimenting with the eyeshadows. have fun babe!
i heard that Caucasian women have older looking skin when they get older because they be wearing make up at such a early age so boo wipe da make up off and go natural and u wont look like a hag when you get older :] aint im a bucket of sunshine
it is the adolescent period where you start experimenting how you want to look and to look different and nice to your peer groups
lip gloss, okay, mascara, wait another couple years. (And I'm not a parent, I'm 19, so don't think I'm biased. If you start wearing makeup too young you end up looking trampy)

depends if you clog up and if your doing diz behind yo moms back. dont overload, some people look TOTALLY different w/out makeup and are..ugly. but just make sure you dont poke yourself in da eye like i did in skoo!

No, that's fine! My only advice is to not bother with clear mascara-it doesn't really do anything.
If you do it right,so that no one can notice it, than Make up is okay in every age ! It should only support your natural beauty !
