Is lip gloss best avoided in winter?

2 years ago Elle magazine advised sticking to matt lip stick in winter or do you think gloss is OK?Is lip gloss best avoided in winter?
well, although id say gloss is probably more summer'y, i dont see why u cant wear it during winter.

dont let a magazine tell u what u can do and what u cant do, just do whatever u want! :) makeup has pretty much no rules!Is lip gloss best avoided in winter?
For lip gloss in the winter, I would go for the ones that are actually lip balms but glossy. You need to keep your lips healthy or else they'll be chapped.

But like other people said, getting hair stuck on your mouth when the wind is blowing does suck a lot.
the thing with winter + lip gloss is

winter = chapped lips

chapped lips + lip gloss = gross
yeah, gloss is fine in the winter. i find a cherry red looks better and more wintery for this time of year, btw. :)
babe, gloss should be a no go in winter!

wind blowing your hair in your face? hmm, no thankyou!
Gloss is fine but you need to also use a damage control lipbalm or vasaline to stop dryness.
