How can you tell when lip gloss...?

goes bad? I use maybelline shineseduction and it in a tube with wrap*not those kind of wrap where you peel before usage* around it which makes it harder for me to tell.How can you tell when lip gloss...?
if it hasn't been used its still good.....but if it has been open and it has a bad scent it has gone bad...... u shouldnt keep any makeup for more than 6 mnthsHow can you tell when lip gloss...?
if you haven't opened it, it's still fine. just use it. i still have some make up that are about 5 years old and they're still fine.
A year or more and throw it out!
if it smells funky
if you have had it more then a year toss it!
