c.o. bigelow has a clear gloss that is minty but does not sting. it is very affordable and it tastes good too. you can get this at any bath and body works store.

anything that is liquid or creamy that is in your carry-on luggage needs to be put separately in a resealable plastic bag so that customs can inspect it - it's all part of security regulations

I want to get that real glossy look of the new Nintendo DS lites as well as the playstation 3 look. I don't like the ';old dell computer'; look of the console out of the box, doesn't really go well with anything in the room.

You might check out some sites dealing with ';case mods'; to get ideas. Neatorama is really cool, and I think they have an Xbox section even to look at (and laugh at some of them).





Your best bets as far as paints are going to be those designed to go on plastic, check the Krylon paints at your local home center or the model paints at ****Mart or your hobby stores. They stick better and keep a gloss. I think I usually see a clear top-coat in the model paints, if you are just wanting to gloss it that would probably do it. You may need several coats, and allow a little extra drying time than what it says.





Spray paints do best in a lot of light, short strokes. Take your time, don't rush or you'll get drips. Spray is best for a beginner, brushes take a lot more work and if you're just glossing you don't need the extra finesse from a brush. Tape everything off, then do one side at a time (don't worry about a little overspray, it will blend, if there are drips wipe them off quickly and redo that part later). Let it dry thoroughly before you turn and do the next side. Yes, the can says ';well ventilated area'; but what you might want to do is get a big clean plastic box (like the big storage bins) and throw it over while it dries - it's amazing how much pollen, dust, dirt, etcetera suddenly finds its' way toward your newly painted object. That's why I say give extra drying time, but you'll be much happier with the finished product. Patience, patience, patience.

Lipgloss is a slippery substance. It'll be hard to keep it on. The key is not in the actual gloss. It's in applying it. most are petroleum jelly based.





Some people swear by applying a foundation lightly before applying gloss just to get something to rough up your lips so, it sticks.





My recommendation....carry it with you
Try lancome. They have more translucent ones and more tinted ones. They stay on forever. I can't get it off even when I try. This stuff is really sticky.

I use Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss. It's available in different flavors, although the tint is really light. But mind you, when I use it, everyone compliments my lips. It's very shiny, and it's not sticky or pasty at all.

There are a couple that I use, and I adore them both so much. Rimmel has one called Sweet Jelly, it's a very highly shiny gloss. Also, Cover Girl's Wet Slicks AmazeMint, it's a little more subdued, but it's got more color to it, it's also minty, I think it's got Scope peppermint in it.
I like Goldie gloss a lot. Not sure where you can get it now, though...I got mine at Bath and Body Works, but they no longer carry the brand.

It really doesn't matter; I've painted with both before and the results were satisfactory. The main difference is the texture of the completed mural - acrylics may leave bumps and ridges from where a clump of paint dried off of the wall (to avoid this, use a very soft brush); wall paint tends to be flatter.





Things to consider though:





1) Your comfort level - Are you very familiar with acrylics? Would you be willing to work with a new medium? Are you going to be using any special techniques, like glazing or sponging? If you have used acrylics and want the mural to turn out like your other work, you may want to keep using what you're familiar with.





2) How big is the mural going to be? If it's covering four walls of a room instead of maybe one wall or a section of a wall, you may want to get wall paint; it'll cover more surface area than a tube of paint might.





3) How many colors are you using? Depending on your budget and the brand you choose, several pints of different colored wall paint can get pricey, but it may be worth it. You won't have to worry about trying to mix the exact shade of a color you used yesterday, and you can recap the paint at the end of the day and pick right back up the next time you paint. [A budget alternative is to get several darker colors, white, and extra containers - then you can mix lighter colors as need.]





4) Location - Is it in a child's room or a room that may get painted over again down the road? If you use acrylics, just know you'll need to sand it down very well before you repaint.





Whichever you decide to use, do be sure to have two coats of either primer (for wall paint) or gesso (for acrylics) before you start. And yes, semi-gloss paint is too slick for a base - you want primer if you're using wall paint. It's a little rougher so the first coat has something to grip to.

Do you remember when your mama use to punish you for painting on the walls? Still there was nothing more fun than that, even when we got in trouble for it. Baby, we've come a long way! (lol)





Anyway, semi gloss paint is good when you are making paint special effects, like ragging, etc. I don't think it works too well for mural painting. You need something that is flat so that the colors adhere to the wall better and are more vibrant. You may want to use craft acrylic paints rather than the artist acrylics that come in a tube. Not just for economy's sake, but also because the colors are more diverse and you would not have to mix so much. I hope that these suggestions help.

wall paint....flat....at least two coats before starting the mural...coat with matte clear finish when completed.
begin with gesso as your base, then use acrylic mixed with gesso for light colors and regular acrylic for bold and bright. Make sure you coat it when you are finished. Walls settle and you can gain fine cracks if you are not careful.

Well hopefully, you are talking about a bad cut in job(so there isn't that much to remove) scrape it off. The use of chemical removers will damage the gloss paint where you do want the paint. If you just ';scored on these windows'; then paint stripper should do it. Try applying it on some pvc pipe first and see what happens.Can anyone suggest how i can remove gloss paint from pvc window frames.....?
there is a product call liquid sandpaper put it on leave it a few minutes and flush with water then wipe remaining off with mineral spirits

My mother bought this thing called lip injection at Gottshalks ages ago %26amp; it doesn't work too nice. Those are the only ones I have tried, but if you go to a Sephora store they can tell you which ones work %26amp; which is the overall best.

My favorite glosses would be from MAC. They have many different formulas and colors, and are reasonably priced. Around $14.50.





Clinique glosses are also around the same price range and are fragrance free and allergey tested.

The quality of paint may be gauged by the weight. given like for like packaging, the better paint contains more pigment and is therefore heavier.

you give no clue as to type of flooring and whether it is latex or oil based. Latex will peel right off on most surfaces with a little warm water, the chemical make up of different paint removers will not work on all surfaces For instance Goof Off will cause bubbles in your linoleum, ETC

What kind of floor? If it is just concrete, use a liquid paint stripper and it will just scape off. If it is carpet, you may be screwed.

Okay just basic stuff that keeps lips shiny, smell and taste good, and keeps lips mosterized, go with lip smacker squeezy. it sounds immature but it is kinda awesome





for something a little classier i love my MAYBELLINE NEW YORK shiny-licious lipgloss. you can find it anywhere. i like darker colors so i got a light brown in 'copper cabana'. i love it and it smells a little like chocolate which is always good.





there are also lip plumping lip glosses. a cheap one that works good and smells like cinnamin is wet n wild mega plump you can get at cvs. another is sexy motherpucker plumping lip gloss which is my favorite. it works amazing and is only around 10$. then there is another maybelline new york lip plumper that works okay but tastes like shiit. and last is lip venom found at sephora that is crrrazy expensice and works just as good as any of the other cheap ones.
My favourite drug store ones are by Maybelline (Shiny Licious or w/e it's called) and the Loreal tube ones. I find that they have good colours and aren't overly sticky.


For more expensive, I like philosophy brand, mostly the clear ones that are sheer in colour, because they are not sticky.
I absolutely despise lip gloss if it is super sticky %26amp; really sparkly shiny.

I lost a bet to my female room mates and as a result, I have to wear lip gloss all day for a week. They say that I have to reapply it 5 times a day on my own and anytime they ask me to. Today was my first day and by noon, my lips were so sticky it was driving me crazy. Do you get used to it ever.

If you want non sticky lip gloss then you have to spend more money on it. Try going to sephora and ask them for gloss that isnt sticky, they have many great choices. History needs some time for gaining perspective on the past events. I would say 25 years is a minimum to separate history from ';current events';.Why do american history textbooks gloss over the recent past?
Depends if this a High School or College Level Book. High School will be a little Dated as to the information. College may be more updated, but, even here they will use a Textbook 3-5 years depending on circumstances. Many College Books should have current 80's and 90's events and some early 2000 stuff though it may be limited. I guess they have to wait for information to be substantiated before allowing it to become actual History. Example; The War on Iraq. This information will be limited at this time. Ten years from now as Trials and Inside Information become more Publicly available (things like 911 and Hussein, Bin Laden etc.) then the History can become more Broad and Informative and Hopefully Factual. Hope this helps.
Textbooks for the public schools are averse to controversy. Anything that takes a position on history that took place in living memory will invariably irk somebody, and will cost the publisher sales. Imagine a survey of the counterculture in the 1960's. A lot of people have strong fellow-feeling for the hippies, and a lot of people still consider them a filthy anomoly. I think current events is anything that is still in play. 9/11 is still in play because its impact continues to steer policy decisions and public opinion. But that has less than nothing to do with textbooks--I went to high school in the late 80's and early 90's, and my history classes never got closer to the present than World War I. And that's a disgrace.
The textbook my school uses was made in 2004. There is no mention of anything in the 70s, 80s, or 90s...They just go from something in the 60s to September 11th. Speaking of September 11, all they did was 3 paragraphs on that event, and then 2 on the war in Iraq and the beginning of the war. Then that's the end of the book. But it's a 2004 book! A lot has happened!!!!!!!

what my question is, what is the procedure i should follow. i am gonna use a spray paint high temp engine dupont low gloss black paint. the procedure that i am wondering about is: sanding the frame nad then applying. shouldi sand then apply then sand again and then apply again? i have never done something like this so any help from bike painters etc would be very helpful!!I am looking to paint a motorcycle frame. High temp paint normally requires heat to set up.


Are you going to bake the frame? Or just use a heat gun?


Personally, I think a good enamel would be better.





Scuff sand the whole thing. Remove all loose paint. Feather edge any chips or dings. Wipe with laquer thinner or isopropyl alcohol. Prime any bare spots. Sand any primer. Paint with multiple thin coats.

WHAT YOU NEED TO FIRST IS MAKE SURE YOU DEGREASE IT THEN THE EASIEST WAY TO SAND IT WOULD BE TO WETSAND IT WITH 320-500 GRIT SANDPAPER YOU CAN BUY IT ANYWHERE OR YOU CAN DO IT DRY BUT THE SANPAPER WILL CLOG AND WEAR FASTER THE CLEAN IT GOOD MAKE SURE EVERTHING IS DRY ,TAPE OFF AREAS THAT YOU DONT WANT TO PAINT .AND GO SPRAY
preperation is the most important thing. if you can have it media blasted first. then if you can ';powder coat'; it, or have it powder coated. it is more durable. you don't need hi-temp paint on the frame. if you do spray it yourself, be sure to use primer first.
I painted my frame and it didn't turn out right.





The next time I do it, I'll follow the instructions better.





Make sure you get the info for the paint that tells you how to mix it ect.





the finished product will likely need good polishing and even light sanding to bring out the shine.





My frame turned out great in some spots and sucked in others. Make sure you prepare the primer surface before you apply the paint. Ref. to the DuPont data for the paint etc.





the next time I do it, I'll get it bead blasted, use a nicer sprayer, and be ready to spend more time sanding.

Randy G. is right on with his answer. Can't be said better, Buff and Buff and Buff. It Does the high polish job everytime.
Go to sherwin wiliams paint stores. or some of the antique stores for advice and help.


Check online research for good results also.
any good paste wax will buff to a high gloss if you don't give up too soon with the buffer.when you buff use a red pad that goes under the buffer and a soft polishing pad between the red pad and the floor.both can be purchased at your local hardwood flooring supplier...hint....an old wool army blanket cut into 16 inch diameter patches is the PERFECT polishing pad.

Start by using certain shampoos for wanting straight hair. (shampoos dont always give you the straight hair you are looking for) When your hair is wet, take a round barrel brush and blowdry it while brushing it straight...


There are many products that you can get to improve your hair with your without a straightener! (balm, syrum) I have the same problem with my hair! Bedhead has really good products that will keep your hair smooth and keep the frizz out! I forget the name, but its in a tall lime green can/bottle!!! Using a straightener always gives your hair an extra nice sleek look to it!
Almond Oil. It replenishes the hair after it has been thorugh heating.

Best concealer for blemishes is MAKEUP FOREVER Full Cover concealer. I love this stuff, it covers everything perfectly.





For under eyes, I use Erase Paste by Benefit, which is thick enough to cover it up, but light enough, so that it doesn't look cakey.





You Rebel Original by Benefit is my all time favorite tinted moisturizer. I have the original one, and I rub it into my face and a bit on my neck and it makes me look tan in the summer without over doing it. For winter, I use the You Rebel Lite. Plus it smells so good and it helps keep your face from becoming oily.
Lip gloss- I don't really use a lip gloss, just the Bur'ts and Bee's watermelon lip shimmer


Tinted Moisturizer- Smashbox, has a really nice one and the girl at Sephora recommended it to me, it gives you a nice glow.

Stick with a clear balm or a tinted one.

For me, hair sprays and glosses dont work AT ALL! They have chemicals in them that put the shine away for good.





Just add a button size amount of honey in your shampoo twice a week and slowly- but surely, your hair will start to pick up on its natural shine!

That's all you need. Around 15 -16 you could add eye shadow and or foundation but if you have good skin you may not even need foundation.

I think the amount of make up you wear sounds just about perfect. When I was that age i started wearing cover-up, mascara, and lip glosses. I'm 18 and still rarely wear makeup. Its more of a want than a need thing for me, thank god. But when I did wear makeup at 13, I only wore gloss, MAYBE mascara and some light, pink eye shadow.

I grew up taking dance and acting lessons so I had to wear makeup for performances. Thus, I was no as excited as my fellow classmates to be putting all that stuff on my face on daily basis. Now that I am almost 25 I am so thankful for my makeup habits because I still hardly wear makeup on a normal day. I wear some plumping lip gloss, a little translucent powder and sometimes some mascara. At night if I am going out I will wear some eyeshadow and liner. I say less is more; Anyone can paint themselves pretty, but natural beauty is for the privileged few. Hold on to it as long as you can, don't hide it with makeup.

Well I wasn't a normal thirteen year old.. when i was that age I wore makeup that you would see on a thrity year old... and mascara isn't only for making your eyelasher longer... I have really long eyelashes as well, but I want them darker so i use it to make them black...
I never wore lip gloss as I think it can look fake. War mineral foundation, well blended, pink cheek blush the tiniest bit of mascara and put some white powder in the corners of your eyes to make them look bigger and more open.

I recommend Irresistable Apple. I can't explain the smell but you can go see for yourself because it is really irresistable! My favorite lipgloss from there would have to be Liplicious Pink Grapefruit. It smells so amazing and looks great too! If you plan to apply foundation on the eyes, then that first. Otherwise, it does not matter when you do so, but here is what I'd do:


1. foundation


2. eyeliner (so your lashes don't get in the way after they're curled though it does not matter. I suggest you try mascara and curling first and then second to find your personal preference)


3. curl the lashes


4. Mascara


5. Blush


6. I think blush or lip gloss could be 5th or 6th. But when you think about lip gloss, don't you kind of think of it as that final touch of prettiness? That's how I imagine lip gloss. [:

It all depends on what you think is easiest. Personally, I always start out by washing my face first. That will ';prime'; your face and get it ready for make-up. Next, after it's dry, apply a little bit of lotion or moisturizer. It will keep skin from drying out.





Use foundation first. Apply a line on your forehead, cheeks, chin, and bridge of your nose. Use a make-up sponge or your fingers to evenly blend across the face and into the neck. If you don't use a powder after liquid foundation, then apply a little bit of blush to the apples of your cheeks. (If you don't know what the apples are, smile the biggest smile you can, and put it on the 'round' parts).





Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler for at least 10 seconds each to get the most curl you can. You can even blow-dry the curler for a few seconds - the heat really enhances the curl. Apply 1-2 coats of mascara; whatever is to your liking.





Finally, finish with lip gloss because in a way, that 'seals the deal' and really makes your face look 'finished'. Good luck!
A lot of people do foundation first, and I can see why, but I either do it last, or just before eyeliner. I wear eyeshadow so it's easier for me to cover up my mistakes with foundation after than to clean up over my foundation, wiping it off in the process.





So: shadow, foundation, eyeliner, mascara





You could even do it after liner if you have a skilled hand and can apply it just below the line without cutting it off. And if you can do it after liner, you can do it after mascara which helps with smudges
This is really a personal preference and if you don't know i suggest you experiment for a few days trying out different orders.


For me i always do mascara first, i have really long eye lashes and pretty much every time i end up with mascara on my eye lids which i have to remove, so if i already had foundation on, it would become patchy. i then do my foundation, powder and bronzer or blusher. I would probably put on a bit more mascara, then do my eye shadow, then eyeliner and lip gloss always before i leave the door.
it depends on what you're used to. i personally do foundation, powder, eye shadow, eye liner, mascara, and then blush. you should try to do your face before your eyes, but a lot of people do it the other way too.

Well, i do eyeliner 1st, and then i curl my lashes, and put mascara on, and foundation, blush, and then lip gloss. I dont think it really matters though, just do it in the order that works best for you.
start by putting on foundation then concealer then powder. move on and put on your eye primer then eyeshadows then eyeliner then curl your lashes and finally put on mascara.last step put on some blush and gloss and you're good to go .

Go easy on the make-up, you're still young and you don't want to look washed up so young. Technically you CAN do whatever you want, but I would say probably don't get started on that too early.

Depending on your school you might be able to wear makeup. I still wouldn't though because 13 year olds don't need makeup. I wouldn't recommend wearing a thong. Abercrombie started selling thongs for 13 year olds and got into a lot of trouble because they shouldn't be wearing something like that. I know you most of you probably won't want to hear this, but thongs, especially synthetic fiber ones, can cause yeast infections and can be uncomfortable for many girls. Ditch them too. Your age, you don't need them. When you wear a thong, that means that you know you are sexy already because they will make you feel sexy. Yes of course you can, just don't over do it! And yea they can wear thongs. No one is gonna see em during the day except the girls in the PE lockers. Unless you wanna flash em down the halls, I don't think that's a good idea.

when putting on your foundation just swipe the sponge over your lips as well, you should do this all the time because it will give a plain base for any lipstick color or gloss you are putting on and give hte true shade of what you are wearing. If you want plae nude lips it is far better to use a foundation that you used on your face then it is a nude lipstick.





Once covered just slap on some clear gloss!
I don't know of a lip gloss to get lips that pale, but, I know another way how you can.





Pat on your normal foundation over your lips, and apply a lip balm (I prefer carmex) over that. Finish with clear lip gloss.

ok, put your concealer on your lips, thats gonna pale them. then use a light pink lipgloss(really pale pink), and put a clear gloss over it.

Maybe you don't know her exact shampoo and conditioner and lip gloss, but will you tell me something that might give an African American person with EXTREMELY course hair a way to look like her? and please don't say hair extensions because my hair is about shoulder length and I don't want it any longer? Ok definitely DON'T get the Jap perm. Their hair texture is completely different from ours. Seriously it makes some peoples hair fall out. Also African american hair is delicate and can't withstand the same chemicals others can. You also need to keep your hair moisturized very often. The dryness can cause some serious breakage. Get a really good hair relaxer. Something like Soft and Beautiful botanicals in Coarse. Its in a green box. You can get it from your local walgreens or other pharmacy.this should really help your hair out. And don't forget to check the expiration date. Perms do expire! well if you are not too dark maybe try Hawaiian tropic to get the fresh golden tan , and if you don't have light eyes contacts work , you can japanese relax you're hair , it makes it shine and straight for 6 months and the chemicals don't ruin you're hair , you can color it a golden honey brown and then you're a big curling iron to have big waves :)

Try the brand Softlips! You can get the lip balms at Target or Walmart or someplace. They are about 4 dollars for a 2 pack, I think.

Anywhere, you can find SoftLips. It works the best! It also has SPF 15 i think in it! It is probably only a dollar, you can find it at walmart, target, mall etc.

It's all personal taste, but traditionally, walls are painted in a matte finish (except kitchens and bathrooms which need a satin or gloss finish to be washable) and doors, door/window trim, base boards and crown molding are painted in a gloss. This way there is contrast from the walls, giving the room more visual interest. It also makes doors washable as they are ';high traffic'; areas. (Grubby paw prints from the kiddies and pets!!)





If your house is old, I would stick with the traditional style so that your finishes are in keeping with the architecture of your house. If your house is new, anything goes.





Maybe if you are unsure about the doors, you should put the job on hold for a few days and live with the trim to see if it grows on you.





I personally LOVE glossy doors and trim, and totally disagree with the statement above that they ';deaden'; the room.

There is no rule which says you must paint woodwork white, or strip it, or color it to merge with the walls. In a room whose walls, window frames and doors are in the same neutral color, you could paint the skirting board a clear contrasting color.

I PAINTED ALL MY WOOD TRIM, FRAMES, DOORS AND WALLS IN FLAT LATEX THE SAME COLOR IN THE ENTIRE HOUSE AND IT LOOKS GREAT. I WANTED THE ACCESSORIES AND FURNITURE TO HAVE CENTER STAGE NOT THE PAINT. I LOVE THE WAY MY PAINT TURNED OUT BUT I SEE NO REASON WHY YOUR GLOSS WOULDN'T BE EVERY BIT AS NICE. SOMEHOW I DON'T THINK ANYTHING IS GOING TO LOOK DEAD. I DO THINK THAT IF YOU DECIDE TO CHANGE THE GLOSS TO FLAT OR SATIN YOU SHOULD CONSIDER PAINTING THE DOORS AND WINDOWS THE SAME. IT'S JUST MY OPINION BUT I DON'T THINK GLOSS ON ONE AND FLAT ON THE OTHER WOULD LOOK TOO GOOD. I TOO AM ABOUT TO START PAINTING AND DON'T ENVY YOU! GOOD LUCK!
it doesnt matter what you used...use it and if you didn't like the results then just change it...it doesn't take much time or effort...just be stress free and happy

Depends on what she really wants. I painted my bathroom white gloss and it looked like very sterile and glaring. Couldn't stand to turn on the lights. But, hey, white is SOOOO much better than black. At least you can cover the white.

Painting her room bright white might be fine, however I would recommend a satin finish paint. Yes it is a mistake-unless you enjoy the smell of fresh paint for the next couple years. High gloss alkyd based enamels can take decades to fully dry. Latex enamels may fully dry in 3 years time. Best choice is a low VOC semi-gloss latex paint.Your health will thank you for it. Some low VOC paints are described as 'hospital paint'-for the health of the patients-and really are good in that respect. V.O.C.-( Volitle Organic Compounds.)-really bad stuff,espeacially to asmatics.
Let her....and when she hates it she can paint it another color by herself.

Life is short. Say ';yes';! You can prime it and cover with flat or eggshell later on. Paint the ceiling too, and install some bright lights!
The high gloss will show every mark and imperfection on walls . Do not use enamel. it will show every roller mark . Its not to bad if spray it but any flaw look allot worse.


I don't care what you prime it with it will want to peel in future unless you really sand on it. I have had to redo 3 rooms in a hospital because of this. And I use a top paint /primmer brand to do them.





Stick to gloss latex and leave it at that. it will make the wall look bad even if they are finished well. They do it all time in commercial construction they want the gloss and 4 months latter we are repainting it egg shell or semi gloss.





Its your house I'm just saying been there done that and don't want it again.
HIGH GLOSS THE MOLDING PERHAPS. I WOULD PREFER A SEMI-GLOSS FOR THE MOLDING AND MATTE ON THE WALLS. IT IS YOU HOUSE NOT YOUR DAUGHTERS
nothing wrong with the white. But like the others have stated, the enamel paint on the walls will be a pain later. Use the enamel on the trims instead.

Yes...what does she know about ';high gloss enamel';?! It belongs on wood trim...not walls. It's your house, tell her to choose between bright white satin or flat interior paint. In exchange for that, let her pick a shiny white fabric for curtains or pillows.

No. It's not a mistake. If you daughter wants to pain her room that color, tell her to go right on ahead and do it. It will keep pre-occupied and her out of trouble.
It is sooo wonderful that you are allowing your child to explore her creative side.. Yes let her paint her room...but don't be surprised if she changes her mind sooner then later and wants to try another color (white can be boring)
Go ahead let her.. life is short. The color is not a problem at all. The high gloss on the other hand might be down the road. You will have to primer over it later. But think of it this wasy... when I bought my house, the bathroom was in a high gloss bright pink. Took 3 coats of primer to cover. Ouch. See there is always a bright side. lol
Behr makes a water based (latex) enamel. You may want to consider steering her in that direction as oil based paints are a pain in the tooshie. My guess is she'll tire of the white unless she brings in warmth with the furniture and accessories, but so what? It's just paint.

Oh. If it ends up too bright for her, try changing the light bulbs to a softer light before repainting. Sometimes harsh light is a problem with white.
